Sunday October 27th,I had the absolute honor to take part in the 5thAnnual Stride for a Cause Breast Cancer awareness event. The evening was amazing, filled with beautiful people. The night started out with the pink carpet where I took pictures with my gorgeous daughter aka my assistant.
Followed by an interview with Mercedes Walker from Ladies in Motion. I think it’s safe to say Mercedes is my new #wcw.
After my one on one interview Mercedes included one of my fabulous models Kendall to be interviewed together. This was Kendall’s 3rdyear modeling in the show. Her story is so courageous. Her first year modeling in the show her mother was unfortunately diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully her mom is happy and healthy today!
Which leads me to the honorees of the night. The show opener was a dancer number introducing the breast cancer survivors in attendance for the night. Can we say tear jerker?!?! As all of these brave, beautiful souls walked the runway in their stylish pink outfits everyone stood on their feet and applauded!!
The rest of the night was full of back to back fashion shows by talented local designers. A stride off as the models strutted down the runway and plenty of vendors that showed up to support the cause and get some great exposure for their businesses.
I love doing events like this because it’s not only good to get out and network and meet like-minded people but it’s good for the soul to participate in such an important cause.
